 Head of Theatre & Performance

Greg is an academic, playwright, actor, and multi-award winning theatre director. He has a BA Dramatic Arts degree from Wits and an MA in Text and Performance Studies with distinction from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and King’s College London.

He has directed theatre productions in many different styles and forms that include drama, comedy, musical theatre, musical review, contemporary world-drama, and new South African plays. Full Bio…

Dr Haseenah Ebrahim (PhD, Northwestern University, USA)

Dr Haseenah Ebrahim received her Ph.D. in Film/Media Studies from Northwestern University (Illinois, U.S.A) in 1998.  Dr Ebrahim teaches film and television studies, including courses in children’s/family films, cinema and nationhood, contemporary Bollywood cinema, classical and contemporary Hollywood, and global flows of films and television programming.  Full Bio …

Jenni-Lee is currently on sabbatical in 2015.

Prince Lamla

Prince Lamla is an award-winning theatre director, actor trainer, and educator. He was the Standard Bank Young Artist Award winner for theatre in 2013 and was named one of the Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans in the same year. He teaches in the area of performance and theatre-making, and has previously taught at AFDA Johannesburg where his contribution to actor training focussed on ensemble work. Read More…

Kgafela oa Magogodi is a poet, playwright and theatre director. Nondumiso Lwazi Msimanga (MA, Wits)

Nondumiso’s work focuses on the concepts of freedom, justice, race, and gender. Her undergraduate degree was completed at Rhodes University where she graduated with distinction in Drama.
